As the contemporary worship leader I am responsible for organizing the music for the second service, setting up practices, and singing/playing with the awesome believers that make up the contemporary worship team.   Though I was born in Toledo, I ‘ve spent most of my life out West.  I received a bachelors and a masters degree in mathematics from Northern Arizona University and a PhD in economics from Vanderbilt before moving to Columbus to work at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!). Though my formal education is not in music, I love serving our Lord through song, and I am grateful to have been called to this purpose.  I have a lovely wife, Jane, and two wonderful children, Annabelle and Nathaniel.  We are blessed to worship and serve as part of the Bethel family!

If you ever want to talk about music, especially Christian, bluegrass, folk, or Irish music, feel free to tap me on the shoulder.  I’m also happy to chat about mathematics, economics, statistics, cars and most especially our Lord!
