First Impressions Team Training
Sunday, August 31, 2025
12:00 pm in Room 5/6
Join us for our upcoming volunteer training meeting for our First Impressions Team (ministry information below) which consists of our Heralds, Greeters, Ushers, & other Sunday volunteers who are the first interaction for anyone who enters our doors on Sunday morning.
Current volunteers, as well as new, are encouraged to attend as we will be sharing important information about each role along with expectations and procedures, how scheduling works and more. This will be a great opportunity for all current and new volunteers to spend time together in fellowship.
Lunch will be provided.

What is our First Impressions Team?
Our First Impressions Team is an incredibly vital Sunday morning ministry. These volunteers are the very first interaction for anyone who enters our front doors for worship services.
They greet at doors, hand out bulletins, and help pass the offering plates. They introduce Bethel to visitors, and are available to assist anyone with concerns or concerns. They also assist during the worship service leading the congregation in worship or in prayer.
Why is the First Impressions Team Important?
The First Impressions Team is important because it offers an opportunity for all of us (not just pastoral staff) to take part in ministering to others, whether they’re just looking for answers to questions, are experiencing church for the first time, or are looking for a new church home. Serving on this team enables you to use the spiritual gifts God has given you to help others experience Him, whether that’s through an “open arms” welcome at the front door or leading someone through prayer after a service.
What Kind of Volunteers Are We Looking For?
- People who have a desire to point those around them toward Christ through regular, genuine, and loving interactions with new visitors, regular attenders, and members alike
- People who are willing to work together as a whole-ministry team to not only support one another, but to also help other people experience Jesus as they come here to worship
- People wish to take part in serving and participating in God’s work, regardless of your specific line of work or experience with any sort of pastoral training
